What began as a calling has grown into a ministry dedicated to restoration, empowerment, and guiding people into a deeper relationship with God.
The Testimony of Dr. Ockie Fourie
Dr. Ockie Fourie’s journey is one of South Africa’s most remarkable stories of transformation. As a young man, he became involved in gangsterism and crime, a path that led him into a world marked by darkness, addiction, and destructive choices. He eventually served a prison sentence for murder, and after his release, he rose to become the kingpin of one of Durban’s most feared gangs.
During those years he struggled with addiction to drugs, prescription medication, pornography, and a cycle of destructive behavior. His life spiraled deeper into chaos, violence, and brokenness — until one moment changed everything.
Ockie suffered a massive heart attack and died. In that moment, God intervened miraculously. By the power of God, he was brought back to life. This encounter marked the turning point that redirected his entire future.
A Wife’s Prayer That Never Stopped
Throughout the darkest years of Ockie’s life, his wife Jackie never gave up on him.
For 27 years, she prayed faithfully, believing that God would rescue, restore, and transform her husband.
Her perseverance became a vital part of Ockie’s testimony.
Her prayers opened the door for the miracle that took place — and today, the two of them minister together.
After witnessing God’s power in Ockie’s transformation, Jackie also committed her life fully to ministry. She is now an ordained Pastor, standing beside Ockie as his strongest support, partner, and co-laborer in the mission God has given them.
A Life Devoted to Ministry
After his encounter with the Holy Spirit, Ockie completely surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. He turned away from his past and stepped into the calling God gave him. Today, he is an ordained Evangelist, travelling throughout South Africa to preach the Gospel, minister to the hurting, and testify about God’s saving power.
He ministers in churches, schools, prisons, communities, and anywhere God opens a door. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, he shares hope, prays for the sick, encourages the broken, and leads many to Christ.
Jackie travels with him, ministers alongside him, and continues to intercede faithfully for every life touched by their ministry.
Commitment to Growth and Biblical Study
After his transformation, Ockie devoted himself fully to studying the Word and equipping himself for ministry. His dedication led him to pursue an extraordinary level of theological training.
To date, he has earned Multiple Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s degrees, diplomas and from Bible Colleges, Universities, and Technikons across South Africa
This broad academic background reflects his deep commitment to serving God and people with love and passion.
